Breaking News: British Diplomat Dies Of Coronavirus

Britain’s deputy ambassador to Hungary, Steven Dick, has just been confirmed dead after contracting coronavirus. He died on Tuesday.

Steven Dick was posted to Budapest last autumn after taking a year of full-time thorough Hungarian language training.

He was reported to have returned from a holiday in Mexico to Budapest before he tested positive to the virus.

The secretary to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Dominic Raab in his speech had described Steven Dick as a devoted ambassador who represents his country well.

The statement read in part:

“Steven was a dedicated diplomat and represented his country with great skill and passion. He will be missed by all those who knew him and worked with him,”
Hungary now has 226 confirmed cases of coronavirus since its outbreak in Wuhan, China.
