BREAKING NEWS: FG shuts down Kano airport, two others over coronavirus


The Federal Government has on Thursday evening shut down three international airports in the country as part of preventative measures to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The three airports that were shut-down includes:
 Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano
 Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu
and the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa.
This was enclosed in a memo signed by the Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Capt. Musa Nuhu.
He said that the three airports would be closed till further notice effective Saturday, March 21.

He added that, the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja and the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos would still be opened but no flight from the 13 COVID-19 high-risk countries would be allowed to enter the country.
