Chaos as Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta tests positive for coronavirus

Mikel Arteta, 37, the first confirmed member of
staff of a Premier League team to be infected with the disease. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed the news of
testing positive for the deadly coronavirus disease. He and the whole Arsenal first-team squad and
coaching staff will be in self-isolating as a precaution. Results of his test came less than an hour
after Premier League broadcasted that this weekend's fixtures will still hold.

Mikel Arteta on Thursday evening released a statement confirming the news, it
is also expected that a "significant number of people" are to
self-isolate, this includes the team, staff and coaches, he also said that they
also look forward to commence preparation and playing as soon as medical advice
allows. Evidently, Mikel’s full recovery is the priority now for us all.”
The managing director
in an interview stated that: “We are in active discussion with all the appropriate
people to manage this situation properly, and we look forward to getting back
to training and playing as soon as medical advice allows.” Mikel Arteta also
states that it is really disappointing, and promises to get back to work as
soon as meical advice allows him.
The Premier League will
hold "an emergency club meeting" today Friday 13th ,2020
to discuss the future fixtures.
