Chelsea FC since early
hours of today has gone into full isolation after one of its
players Callum Hudson-Odoi tested positive for coronavirus. Callum Hudson-Odoi was tested
positive for coronavirus on Thursday evening, his club Chelsea stated that: The
club's Cobham training ground will also be partially closed down and some staff
will self-isolate.
Callum Hudson-Odoi’s positive test has
placed the Saturday’s fixture against Aston Villa into doubt, with Arsenal’s
match against Brighton & Hove Albion already suspended after manager Mikel
Arteta tested positive for the coronavirus.
ChelseaFC states that;
“Chelsea men’s team player Callum Hudson-Odoi’s positive test result for coronavirus returned this evening. Chelsea staffs who had recent close connection with the player in the men’s team building will now self-isolate in accordance with government health guidelines.
“These includes the full men’s team, coaching staff and some of the backroom staffs. Although testing positive, the 19-year-old is doing well and looking forward to resume training as soon as it is possible. "It is also expected that those who did not have close communication with Callum will return to work in the coming days. In the meantime, the men's team building, one of several separate buildings at our training ground, will remain closed."The rest of the training facility, Stamford Bridge and our other facilities are operating as normal."Chelsea football team was slated to play at Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon, but as it seems the match will not hold. The League is to hold a meeting on Friday to decide a course of action in response to the coronavirus.Arsenal’s game at Brighton this weekend has already been called off.
A statement released by the club in the early hours
of Friday March 13, it was collected that medical tests conducted
on Hudson-Odoi who showed cold symptoms on Monday morning and stayed away
from the club since then, resulted positive on Thursday night.

in a video posted on Twitter this morning:”Hi guys, as you may be aware, I had
the virus for the last couple of days, which I've recovered from. I'm following
the health guidelines and self-isolating myself from everybody for the week. I
hope to see everybody soon, and hopefully be back on the pitch very soon. Take
care.”
