Manchester United Ready To Seal £15 Million Permanent Transfer Of Odion Ighalo
Manchester United reports that it’s ready to seal the
permanent transfer of Odion Ighalo after the striker’s remarkable start at the
club.
Ighalo’s existing loan deal only lasts till May, which as
things are now it would mean he would have to leave before the season is
completed.
The transfer is probable to be extended in order for Ighalo
to play the rest of the campaign at Manchester United, the club now also wants
to ensure that he stays at Old Trafford beyond the summer.
In the Mail , Manchester United will pay up £15million to
Ighalo’s parent club Shanghai Greenland Shenhua to make the move permanent.
Shanghai is willing to let Ighalo leave provided that their
price is met.
The former Watford striker was playing in the Chinese Super
League since 2017 before Manchester United came profession to offer him his
dream move.
Ighalo had been drafted in as back-up to Anthony Martial,
but has since then proven his value with four goals in three starts.
Ighalo has refused to comment on his contract condition amid
the current coronavirus disaster, but there is little doubt he would be eager
to remain at his boyhood club.
