Coronavirus: Workers in Cross River State To Resume Work



The Cross River state government has just allowed its workers in the state's civil service to resume work after a temporary lockdown due to the COVID19 pandemic. 

Governor Ben Ayade’s spokesman Christian Ita revealed this in a statement, the statement notes that all civil servants from grade level 10 are to resume work starting Tuesday 14th April, 2020. 

However the civil servants has been ordered to adhere to  the no mask no movement order in place by the government of the state.

The statement also noted that all civil servants are to receive nose masks from the Response Task Force via their respective permanent secretaries. It noted that all masks used in the state are locally made with the place of origin clearly noted on the mask.

It was also mentioned that the sale of face masks in the state is prohibited as the distribution of mask in the state is free of charge.

 The statement also added that mass gatherings of any kind will still remain prohibited although residents of the state will be allowed to make use of public places such as banks, sports, markets, malls if only they use the appropriate masks.
