Number Of Deaths Double Up After Wuhan Recalculates COVID19 Data.

After re-calculating the figures, the number of deaths in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, China increased by 1,290 cases, from 2,579 to 3,869.

Wuhan Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Hubei Province, China, holding a press conference, said the city recorded 3,869 deaths from Covid-19, an increase of 1,290 people compared to the reported data. Previously, the equivalent increased by 50%.
The number of cases was also adjusted, increasing from 50,008 to 50,333, an increase of 325 cases.

The data was published after inspections and verification across the city as of April 16.
Explaining the revision of this data, Wuhan Health Agency cited four reasons:
1.     home deaths were not reported due to inadequate treatment capacity in the early stages of the epidemic
2.   reporting late, confusing or not reporting from some of the overloaded hospitals
3.    a mix of health organizations, including those run by private enterprises, or many field hospitals, without timely reporting of deaths
4.   Do not register a death certificate.

With the newly revised data, China now records 82,692 infections and 4,632 deaths due to Covid-19. China on 16th of April said the number of domestic infections tends to increase. For the first time Beijing in the last 3 weeks a new case of community infections have emerged. The number of newly imported cases in the country has decreased a little, with 34 cases on April 15th.

US President Donald Trump on April 1st  expressed doubts that Covid-19 data in China was lower than reality after the US intelligence community sent a report to the White House, which said China intentionally did not publish. Full number of infections and deaths from nCoV. However, the US National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien said that Washington could not confirm the figures from Beijing.
