The Worst Of COVID-19 Is Yet To Come – WHO

The Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) said that the current COVID-19 pandemic is not yet at its peak.

Speaking on April 20th, the World Health Organization (WHO) Director, General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that:

"Believe us, the worst is still ahead of us. Let's prevent the tragedy. This is a virus that many people may not know. "

The head of the WHO called for a spirit of international solidarity, inter-nationalism and peoples inter-order to continue to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and limit the number of deaths in the near future.

He added that the whole world should treat the virus as their common enemy of humanity and also treat persons who died from the virus as individuals and not as figures as life is precious.

The WHO Director-General also said that the COVID-19 epidemic was a "dangerous mixture", comparable to the 1918 influenza outbreak.

“This is happening after 100 years, just like the 1918 flu killed up to 100 million people. But now that we have the technology, we can stop that disaster. We can prevent this crisis.”
