Coronavirus in Kogi is real, I know a patient - Dino Melaye

The former senator who was representing the Kogi West Senatorial district, has just supported the NCDC’s confirmation of 2 cases of COVID-19 which was reported in Kogi State.

The Kogi state government had earlier rejected the NCDC’s report of 2 cases in Kogi state on Wednesday 27th May, 2020.
However the NCDC replied to this comment from the state government. The NCDC said that the cases which were recorded were right as the patients who had tested positive had references and are from Kogi state.

The former Kogi state lawmaker released a statement on Saturday, May 30th which confirmed the 2 cases, he confirmed that they were true as he personally knows one of the patients from Kabba.

His statement reported that the cases was true and real and he cannot understand why the government of the state will want to continuously deny and invariably kill her citizens.

He added that he will not want to be one among those that will play politics with the lives of his people, he added that the infection is real but however, it is not a death sentence if handled well.

He added that the family members of the patient known to him from Kabba has been referred to Abuja from the FMC in Lokoja and all those who have come in contact with him should try and surrender themselves for a test to stop the infection from spreading the more he said.

He added that the state’s government will have to come down from her imaginary chair to start tracing all those who have come in contact with the reported case in order to help stop the spread of the virus in the state.
