Dangers of coronavirus in cigarette smoke


During this pandemic the importance of social distancing has been high, however a warning has just been issued on the risk of COVID-19 from cigarette smoke.

It has been reported that smokers are at a higher risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus, and this has resulted to so many persons dropping the act of smoking.

It has been reported that the virus can be spread to another person who is 2 meters away through cigarette smoke.
According to experts there are molecules hanging in the air in the smoke of the cigarette. This smoke can increase the risk of contracting the virus via the aerosols form of the virus.

For example if you are in a large area and someone with the virus is smoking 2 meters away from where you are, you are liable to contracting this virus via the smoke the smoker puffs out.

It has been advised by the experts to stay away from cigarettes or avoid those that smoke them and continue to obey other preventive measures that has been put in place to help curb the spread of this virus and also stay safe.
