France Records 25,531 COVID-19 Related Deaths
In the past two days, the number of deaths from COVID-19 in
France has increased rapidly again, there have been an additional 330 deaths
due to SARS-CoV-2 virus infection in the past 24 hours in this country.
As of 6 am 6/5, the world has recorded 3,719,899 SARS-CoV-2
virus infection causing COVID-19 , including a total of 257,747
deaths.
In the past 24 hours, there have been 330 additional deaths
in COVID-19 in France, up to 25,531 deaths from the disease, including 16,060
in hospital (up 234 cases) and 9,471 in nursing homes and health facilities.
Currently, France has 24,775 patients being hospitalized
(decreasing 773 cases compared to the previous day), in which 3,430 people have
intensive care (266 cases reduction).
Before that, France recorded more than 400 deaths a day by
the end of April 2020. However, at the beginning of May 2020, many deaths
dropped to around 150, in the last 2 days, unexpectedly, the number of deaths
increased again with more than 300 cases.
The French Senate has rejected a government plan to lift
blockages due to COVID-19. Accordingly, French Senators have asked the government
to review many controversial measures in the public opinion, including ensuring
safety when reopening schools, expected after 11/5 on for kindergartens,
kindergartens and primary schools, after May 18 for lower secondary schools and
after June 2 for upper secondary schools.
