I Spoke To My Wife And She's Always Wanted To Live In Nigeria - Harry Redknapp Laughs Off Claims He Could Have Taken Over As Super Eagles Manager
Harry Redknapp has just
debunked rumors that he could become the next coach for Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The former Tottenham coach
and an English football manager has been rumored to have been in a line up of
those to replace the present Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr, who has recently
signed a new contract to extend his stay at the three-time African Champions.
While addressing the rumors
on talkSPORT, he joked about it saying that he had spoken to his wife Sandra
and she had always wanted to live in Nigeria.
His statement reads:
“She said it's amazing that this has come up now, because that was her dream. So we're looking to sell up, we're putting the house on the market. We're looking to get somewhere over there if possible. I'm sure, she'd love it there. I've told her, she'd absolutely love it. I'm ready to go!”
Redknapp who is 73
years old has not managed any club since after he left Birmingham in 2017.
“I actually went there a few years ago with Portsmouth, we played Manchester United, but I don't think I'll really be going back.”
