Kano State Govt Extends Lockdown By 1 More Week As COVID-19 Death Toll Rises To 32
The Government of Kano
State has just extended the 2 week total lockdown imposed by the President by 1
more week.
President Muhammadu Buhari
had on the 27the of April ordered for the total lockdown of Kano state in order
to curtail the spread of the ravaging virus in the state.
This information of extended
lockdown was revelead by Muhammad Garba the state’s Commissioner of
Information. He said that the Governor of Kano State, Governor Abdullahi
Ganduje has extended the lockdown in order to further curb the spread of this
deadly virus.
This new order is coming in
after the state recorded 6 more COVID-19 deaths on 11th May which
has totaled the death toll to 32.
The state has 666 confirmed cases of the
virus which has made the state the state with the highest number of infected
persons in the country after Lagos state which has 1933 confirmed cases of
COVID-19.
