Lockdown: FG Orders Release Of 17,500 Metric Tonnes Of Grains

The federal government of Nigeria has just ordered for the release of 17,50 metric tons of grains to the public as palliatives, due to the lockdown order that was imposed on the nation.

Haruna Sulaiman, the Director of the National Food Strategic Reserve revealed that the presidency had placed urgency on the release of these food items. He also added that the department has issued an order to start re-bagging and get ready to start distribution to all states in Nigeria.

He also added that they had received an order from Yola site to release 17,500 tons which is exactly equivalent to 100 trucks of grains of sorghum and maize to Kano State.
