Mourinho ‘Desperate’ For Premier League Return
Jose Mourinho, Tottenham
Hotspur manager, has just denied reports that he tried to delay the Premier
League from restarting due to concerns for players’ fitness.
He said that he would
appreciate the opportunity to get back to work in spite of the risks and
challenges that the pandemic has posed.
Earlier in April, Mourinho
was forced to apologize after he was caught breaking lockdown order in order to
hold a training session with his midfielder Tanguy Ndombele in a public park.
The manager noted that his
position in the meeting has been only reflected fairly in the media reports as
he has not asked for any delay to the game.
And that he is particularly desperate for the
return of the Premier League as soon as it is safe to do so and that he is also
very proud of the way his players have continued to maintain their fitness even
in the face of the pandemic.
