Pochettino: I'm Happy That Mourinho Replaced Me

Argentinian coach Pochettino expressed his satisfaction with the name Jose Mourinho, who became the head of Tottenham after him.

Between 2014 and 2019, Mauricio Pochettino, who was Tottenham's coach, left the roads with Tottenham when his team was 14th in the Premier League in the 2019-20 season.

The management of the British club replaced Jose Mourinho as the head of the team instead of the Argentinian coach. Tottenham rose to eighth place in the league after the arrival of Mourinho.

Mauricio Pochettino said he had a good friendship with Jose Mourinho, who was at the head of Real Madrid when he was running Espanyol in Spain.

Pochettino, who was one of the biggest candidates for Real Madrid coaching instead of Mourinho at that time, said:
"I was very hard to think of changing clubs when my kids wore their Espanyol pajamas every night. Jose also gave me two Real Madrid jerseys with the note children wear them now."

Our friendship started after this incident. I am very happy that he was at the head of Tottenham. Jose, I always thought I was substituting him when he was running Real Madrid. Now he took my place in Tottenham. Amazing, right?
