Russia Lifts Its National Lockdown Today
AFP news agency quoted
President Vladimir Putin on May 11, saying that the country's
shutdown period, which was imposed to curb the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus
that causes COVID-19, will be lifted from today.
"Starting tomorrow, May 12, the period of the country's outages will be lifted for all sectors of the economy."
Putin said, noting that
areas of Russia will have Maintain any virus protection if necessary.

Russian leader said that large-scale events would still be banned and sanitary

Russia recorded a record 11,656 new cases of COVID-19 in 84 regions, bringing
the total number of cases to 221,344, ranking 3rd in the world in the number of
cases.
