WHO: Re-Infection Is Not Re-Infection
The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed that patients who
recovered from COVID-19, but have positive test result for corona virus later
is because the lungs are excreting dead cells they are not re-infection.
The statement came after South Korea recently announced that
300 cases were positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus, raising concerns that patients
who have recovered may re-infection.
WHO spokesman said:
"Currently, based on the latest data, we know that these patients seem to be releasing what is left in their lungs, as part of the recovery period."
According to WHO, more research on COVID-19 positive cases
will be needed to determine whether they can infect other persons after
re-infection.
