13 More Imo State Lawmakers Test Positive For Coronavirus
News reports today revealed that 13 more lawmakers of
the Imo state House of Assembly have just tested positive to COVID-19.
This information is coming in barely 6 days after a
lawmaker, whose identity was withheld had tested positive to the virus in the
state.
The Chairman of the State’s COVID-19 taskforce team,
Professor Maurice Iwu had disclosed on Tuesday June 16th that a
member of the House of Assembly had tested positive to the virus and has been
placed on isolation with his wife as all lawmakers were also ordered to go for
a test.
On Monday, the 22nd of June, the Nigeria Centre
for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 9 new cases in the state making it a total
of 243 cases of COVID-19 in the state.
And it has been revealed today 13 more lawmakers have tested
positive to the virus in Imo state.
