15 Coronavirus cases in
Bauchi state came from Cross River state
|
The governor of Bauchi
state has just revealed that there are 15 cases in the state which came in from
the so called infection free Cross River state.
While speaking to the press
on Wednesday, June 10th he decried the violation of the Inter-state
travel ban which he said had led to the rise in number of COVI-19 cases in the
state.
He said in his statement
that he doesn’t want to have issues with anybody but just wants to reveal to
Nigerians that everyone is responsible for each other and would be accountable
to God.
He added that there is no
need to pretend that this virus does not exist, and urged leaders to come out
and face the challenges it brings along with it.
He added that the epicenter
of new arising COVID-19 cases are the places of worship and precisely the
mosque in Bauchi and nobody is doing anything about it.
He pleaded with the
residents of Bauchi state which is bordered with 7 other states with worse
cases and that if they continue to disobey the order to ban interstate travels
which has increased the number of cases in the state that he will be forced to lock up Bauchi state for
good.
This speech from the
governor is coming after the Governor of Cross River state, Governor Ben Ayade
continues to insist that there are no cases of COVID-19 in his state.
