All 4 Minneapolis officers now charged for George Floyd’s death; Mug-shots released


The mug-shots of all the 4 Minneapolis Police officers who were involved in the death of an African American, George Floyd, have been released.

These mug-shots were released after Senator Amy Kobuchar revealed that the Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison will be increasing the charges against the first Minneapolis Police officer who was first arrested, Derek Chauvin to a 2nd degree murder case.

The Star Tribune while citing many unnamed law enforcement sources revealed that Derek Chauvin for kneeling on George Floyd’s causing his death will be facing more a more serious charge in the death of George Floyd.

Senator Amy Kobuchar also revealed that the other 3 officers who were present at the scene of incident, Thomas Lane, J. Kueng and Tou Thao will also be charged for their involvement in the murder and has called for their arrest.

According to reports from the Star Tribune, the 3 police officials will be charged with aiding and abetting a 2nd degree murder and that new charges will be officially announced by the Minnesota Attorney General, Attorney Keith Ellison.  

George Floyd’s family attorney, Attorney Benjamin Crump said that it is a bittersweet moment and also a significant step ahead on the road to justice. He also added that the Minnesota Attorney General, Elison has promised the Floyd’s family that further investigations will continue to be made in order to upgrade the charge to a first degree murder case if warranted.
