Anthony Joshua And Tyson Fury Reach Agreement On A Two-Fight Deal |
Eddie Hearn, Anthony Joshua’s
promoter has just revealed that the two biggest heavyweight boxes of the world,
Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have both agreed to fight each other.
The first set of the
historic fights would be performed in Saudi Arabia next year. Anthony Joshua
had regained his World Boxing Association, World Boxing Organization
Heavyweight and International Boxing Federation titles in Riyadh last December
by defeating Andy Ruiz in their rematch while Tyson Fury had defeated Deontay
Wilder in February to claim his World Boxing Council Championship.
The two fighters now have
all four major belts in the boxing blue rib division and the suggestions of a
unification fight to determine the undisputed heavyweight championship has been
consistent in recent months.
Anthony Joshua’s promoter
revealed that both the fighters have agreed also with the financial terms of
the fights. He told SkySports on Wednesday that they are making a great
progress but there is still much to overcome as they are still looking for
venues and dates for the fight.
He added that they have the
Dilllian Whyte Mandatory which is due before the fights, and that the fights
could happen in the next summer.
