sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Justice E.A Obile, the preceding Judge
banned Edo State Governor, Governor Godwin Obaseki from taking part in the PDP
primaries which is scheduled for Thursday 25th June, 2020.
This order was giving by
Justice Obile in accordance with the suit that was filed by another governorship
aspirant from the PDP, Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, he had insisted that Governor
Obaseki did not purchase the PDP form neither did he undergo any screening
within the time-table scheduled by the party.
Also joined in the
suit were Emmanuel Ogidi, Honorable Kingsley Chinda, Prince Uche Secondus and
Chief Derekeme Boyleyefa. The others include Honorable Barrister Ajibola Muraina
and Senator James Manager as well as the PDP and INEC.
We had earlier reported the
resignation of Governor Obaseki from the APC on June 16th and his
defection to the PDP on the 19th of June with the hope of becoming
