Cuba Declares Successful Control Of The COVID-19 Epidemic
Cuba has recorded nearly
2,200 infections and 83 deaths. With 1,862 people who have recovered, Cuba
currently has only 244 cases.
On June 7, Cuba declared
successful control of the COVID-19 epidemic after more than a week
with no new deaths reported. However, the Caribbean island nation will continue
to monitor developments in the near future to set a time for normalization of
socio-economic activities.
However, President Miguel
Diaz-Canel Cuba also warned that the country could not be complacent because a
series of new cases appeared from May 28.
