Cuba Declares Successful Control Of The COVID-19 Epidemic

Cuba has recorded nearly 2,200 infections and 83 deaths. With 1,862 people who have recovered, Cuba currently has only 244 cases.

On June 7, Cuba declared successful control of the COVID-19 epidemic after more than a week with no new deaths reported. However, the Caribbean island nation will continue to monitor developments in the near future to set a time for normalization of socio-economic activities.

However, President Miguel Diaz-Canel Cuba also warned that the country could not be complacent because a series of new cases appeared from May 28.
