Oyo State To Reopen Schools June 29
The COVID-19 Task Force
team of Oyo state on Monday said that it will relax the curfew that was imposed
on the state to curb the spread of the virus, but however maintained that curfew
in the state would start from 10pm to 4am every day.
The chief press secretary
to the Governor of Oyo state, Taiwo Adisa revealed that a decision has been taken
that the Primary Six, JSS3 and SS3 students will resume school from the 29th
of June. And that all category of workers in the state are to resume work at
the secretariat as from June 22.
He added that Churches and
Mosques are only to operate at 25% its normal capacity and also that public
gatherings has been stamped at not more than 25 persons.
However, schools are to observe
all the measures that has been put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19 in
the state. And this includes washing of hands and compulsory wearing of face
masks.
He added that each school
is to provide a hand washing point with the supports of the school PTA.
