Policeman Arrested For Killing Motorcyclist Over N100 Bribe In Adamawa
A policeman who shot and
killed a motorcyclist after he refused to pay a bribe of N100 at a police
checkpoint in Adamawa state, Maiha, LGA has just been arrested.
The policeman who had
killed the 20 year old motorcyclist has been identified as police corporal
Richard Zaphet. This incident had resulted to some crisis in the Wuro-ba Adamu
village which has now been brought under c ontrol.
Mr. Sulaiman Nguroje, a
spokesperson from the Adamawa state police command confirmed this incident
earlier today, June 3rd, also noting that the said officer has been
arrested and is facing investigation now by the assistant commissioner of
police who was ordered to do so by the commissioner of police.
