Pope Francis Reacts To The Death Of George Floyd
Pope Francis has just reacted
to the recent reported death of George Floyd, who was killed by a white police
man in Minneapolis by knelling on his neck.
The pontiff said on
Wednesday, 3rd June that, we cannot turn a blind eye or tolerate racism,
this he said in reacting to the death of George Floyd, which has resulted to a
nationwide protests.
Pope Francis has however
condemned the violent acts that followed the death of Gorge Floyd due to the
protest and has termed it as “self-destructive and self-defeating.”
He added in advice to the
people that nothing can be achieved through violence and loss. He added that he
is praying for George Floyd and for all others who have lost their lives to
racism.
