Trump Explained Why He Wanted To Invite Russia To The G7 Conference
US President Donald Trump
said Russia's participation in the G7 meeting in Washington next fall will help
solve many important issues.
In an interview with Fox
News on June 3, President Trump gave a clearer explanation of why he wanted to
invite Russia to attend the summit of the group of 7 leading industrialized
countries in the world (G7). ) in the US in September next.
When asked by the
journalist why Trump wants to invite Russian President Vladimir Putin to the G7
summit, the US leader said:
“He helped us in the oil industry, which is also Good for Russia."
Mr. Trump said that this helps stabilize the oil
market and help millions of people in the United States do not lose their jobs.
On the G7 agenda, Mr. Trump
added:
"Half of the discussions are related to Russia, if Mr. Putin is present, finding a solution will be much easier."
The White House chief also
asserted that the conference discussions without Russia's presence would be a
"waste of time". "Because after the meeting, someone will have

said.
Mr. Trump also asserted
that Russia's presence at the summit will help "solve the problem"

Last week, President Trump
announced the postponement of the G7 summit from late June to September and
plans to invite Russia, South Korea, Australia and India to attend.

Russian Foreign Ministry
spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on June 1 that Trump was "on
track". Russian President Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow
intends to follow up more information about the upcoming G7 Summit through
diplomatic channels, as so much remains unclear.
