Woman Dies Of COVID-19 After Delivering Twins In Imo State

Professor Maurice Iwu who is the Chairman of the COVID-19 task force in Imo state has just revealed to newsmen today the 15th of June that a woman who recently gave birth to twins in Imo state had died from complications of COVID-19.

According to the task force Chairman, she had tested positive to the virus and was admitted to the Imo state’s isolation center few days ago. 

She delivered of her twins while in isolation and died after delivery leaving behind her twin babies who according to reports has tested negative to the virus.

 Professor Iwu warned residents of the state to start believing and stop spreading rumors that the virus is not real. He also advised them to adhere to the safety measures which the government has put in place to curb the spread of the virus in the state.

According to information from the NCDC, Imo state currently has 136 confirmed cases of the virus with 1 death in record.
