Google To Lay Cables Between The US And The UK


The cable, which will be called Grace Murray Hopper, will support more flexible presentation of Google's consumer and enterprise products.

Technology giant Google has announced that it will lay an undersea cable that will unite the US, the UK and Spain.

According to the company's statement, the cable, to be called computer scientist Grace Murray Hopper, who once served as an admiral in the US navy, will support the more flexible delivery of Google's consumer and enterprise products.

Google Global Network Vice President Bikash Hopper underlined that the Bikash Koley cable will be the first cable to be laid between the US and the UK since 2003.

Hopper pointed out that this cable will also be the first cable to be installed by a private company between the U.S. and the United Kingdom, and will be the first cable to be installed between the U.S. and Spain.

Google is still the operator of cables that connect Portugal and South Africa, Chile in several regions in South America, and the United States and France.
