JAMB Instructs Tertiary Institutions To Start Admission Processes From August 21
The Joint Admissions and
Matriculation Board (JAMB) has just directed all tertiary institutions in the
nation to start all processes of the first and second choice admission from
August 21st.
This latest instruction was
given by the admission board in the 2020 admission guidelines which was
released in Abuja by the Spokesperson of the Board, Dr. Benjamin Fabian. The board
however warned institutions against the duplication of forms and that they are
to desist from selling of admissions forms into some blacklisted programs.
The board had also directed
all institutions to advise their candidates to apply for the programs
through its office, saying that all admission exercises must and should be
conducted on the Central Admission Processing System.
The Federal government of
Nigeria had shut down schools in March as part of the measures to curb the
spread of Coronavirus after ASUU had gone on a 2 weeks warning strike. No new
date for resumption of school has been announced.
