We Accidentally E-Mailed Email Banning TikTok - Amazon

Amazon announced that the e-mail it sent to their employees to delete TikTok from their phones was forwarded by mistake.

US-based e-commerce company Amazon said in its e-mail yesterday that the Chinese-based TikTok application should be deleted from the phones.

The company’s email sent by those working in the reads:
"For security reasons, the Amazon e-mail access provided by phone in TikTok used to no longer be permitted. If you want to access your e-mail, you must delete the TikTok."
After this decision was taken, it was revealed that senior corporate executives were unaware of the incident while their eyes were turned to Amazon.

A few hours after sending the e-mail, a statement was made by the spokesman for Amazon, saying that the email sent to employees this morning were accidentally shared. In the statement, it is stated that there is currently no change in Amazon's approach to TikTok.

About the TikTok implementation of the Chinese company ByteDance, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also announced on Tuesday that they plan to ban Chinese social media practices, including TikTok.

TikTok, which has 800 million monthly active users in the USA and worldwide, is claimed to have reported its users' personal information to the Chinese administration.
