LASU To Resume School In Batches Starting From September
The students of the Lagos State University, LASU, are to resume school in batches, starting from September.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof.
Olanrewaju Fagbohun, SAN, revealed this information on Monday 31st
August, while speaking on a radio interview.
He gave the details that
400, 500 and 600 level students are to resume first after which students of
other levels will start coming on board.
According to him the 400,
500 and 600 level students are to resume for a duration of 2 months with
intensive lectures which will hold from 9am to 3pm daily for those that stay
off campus.
After the completion
of resumption and registration for 400, 500 and 600 level students then 200 and
300 level students will resume for 2months of lecture before exams commence.
Though the resumption for
students in 200 and 300 level has been divided into different days of the week.
On Mondays and Wednesdays, 300 level students are to be on campus for lectures
while on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 200 level students are to be on campus for
their own lectures. This was done in order to main social distancing in the
campus.
Fagbohun also mentioned
that these decisions were made in order to protect the lives of the students
and staffs of the Lagos State University and to prevent them from contracting
the disease.
The VC however noted that
all the precautionary measures has been put in place to prevent the spread of
the virus by the school management.
