The Number Of Death Rises To 135 In Lebanon
The Lebanese Minister of
Health announced that the number of deaths reached 135 and the number of
injuries reached 5 thousand in the explosion in Beirut Port yesterday.
In Beirut, the
capital of Lebanon, yesterday, the city turned into a battlefield with the
explosion of ammonium nitrate in a warehouse in the city's port.
While the search and rescue
efforts that started after the explosion are still continuing, the balance
sheet is increasing every minute.
Lebanese Minister of Health
Hamad Hassan announced that as a result of the explosion in
the Port of Beirut yesterday, the death toll reached 135 and the
number of injured to 5,000.
Minister Hassan would have
flown that dozens of people were still missing under the
wreckage. Minister Hassan also stated that all aid reaching Lebanon will
be given to private and public hospitals.
On the other hand, the Supreme Defense Council declared Beirut a
"disaster zone" due to the disaster that occurred with the explosion
of 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate kept in warehouse number 12 at the port.
