Trump Signed A Decree To Ban Trading With The Owner Of TikTok

According to the latest
decree related to TikTok signed by US President Donald Trump on August 6,
individuals and organizations in the US will be banned from trading with
ByteDance and Tencent, owners of TikTok and WeChat, after 45 days more.
This decree was cited by
President Trump as "a national emergency related to technology and the
supply chain of information and communication services".
Accordingly, "any
transaction by anyone, or related to any asset, is within the jurisdiction of
the United States, with ByteDance" will be banned after September 20.
"The United States needs to take drastic action against the owner of TikTok to protect national security. Any individual or property in US jurisdiction will be banned from trading with ByteDance after 45 days from the time of adoption.”
The decree recorded.
The ban also applies to
Tencent, which owns the WeChat messaging app, and could cause the platform to
shut down in the US. The Ordinance aims to block transactions of all
individuals and organizations in the United States with ByteDance and WeChat,
not to mention US businesses operating abroad.
The Chinese government,
representatives of ByteDance and Tencent did not comment on this information.
ByteDance sells TikTok
shares and operations in the US to Microsoft or a certain company, otherwise the
social network will have to withdraw from the US from September 15.
Secretary of State Mike
Pompeo later said the US wanted to ban "untrustworthy" Chinese apps
from the country's mobile phone carriers and app stores. He also claimed
Washington wants to prevent American apps from pre-installed or allowing
download to phones or wireless devices made by Chinese firms like Huawei.
