French President Emmanuel Macron Tests Positive To Covid-19
On December 17, French
President Emmanuel Macron's Office said that Mr. Macron had just tested
positive for Covid-19.
Elysée Palace said
President Macron was tested for Covid-19 after the appearance of initial
symptoms. In the short term, he will be isolated for seven days but will
continue to work and handle work remotely.
According to Bloomberg, the
Elysée Palace representative declined to provide details on the contagious
circumstances or where the president would be quarantined.
President Macron is the
most recent world leader with Covid-19. Before that, US President Donald
Trump, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Brazilian President Jair
Bolsonaro, Head of EU's post-Brexit trade negotiations Michel Barnier, Russian
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, former President of India Pranab Mukherjee,
Minister French Finance Bruno Lemaire ... became a Covid-19 patient.
According to the plan,
President Macron will travel to Lebanon next week. Before that, he met and
had lunch with Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa on December 16. Sky

In order to prevent the
Covid-19 epidemic from spreading, the French issued a curfew lasting from 8:00

(EU) countries, France is hoping for the Covid-19 vaccine. Prime Minister
Jean Castex on December 16 announced that the country would receive about 1.16
million doses of Covid-19 vaccine by the end of this year and vaccination could
start from the last week of December. In 2021, France will receive 677,000
additional doses of the vaccine and 1.6 million doses by February.
