Barcelona Threaten Action Against Newspaper El Mundo For Broadcasting £492m Contract Leak

Barcelona have denied spilling subtleties of Lionel Messi's
agreement - which is allegedly worth up to €555m (£492m) more than four seasons
- and have taken steps to sue the paper answerable for its distribution.
Spain's El Mundo paper said it approached the archive Messi
endorsed with the Catalan club in 2017, which included fixed earnings and
additional items that could reach almost €138m (£122m) each season, which the
distribution claims is the most costly agreement ever paid to a competitor.
Barcelona, who have been driven by a guardian board since
president Josep Maria Bartomeu surrendered in October while confronting a
no-certainty movement in front of new official races on March 7, said they
uphold Messi and would make a move against the paper.
"Considering the data distributed today in the paper El
Mundo, corresponding to the expert agreement endorsed between FC Barcelona and
the player Lionel Messi, the club laments its distribution given that it is a
private archive represented by the guideline of secrecy between the
gatherings," a club articulation said.
"FC Barcelona completely rejects any obligation for the

paper El Mundo, for any harm that might be caused because of this distribution.
