Breaking News: Senate Confirms Buratai, Olonisakin, Others As Non-Career Ambassadors

 

Senate, Tuesday affirmed previous Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai; previous Chief of Defense Staff, Gabriel Olonisakin; previous Chief of Air Staff, Ibok Ibas; and previous Chief of Naval Staff, Abubakar Sadique as non-vocation ministers.

 

President Buhari had on the 5 of February, sent their names to the senate to be affirmed as non-profession ministers.

 

Nigerians had censured their selection, noticing that it was an arrangement to shield them from indictment by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for supposed maltreatments carried out by the Nigerian military under their supervision.
