Lagos Finishes Fix Work On Eko Bridge
LAGOS—THE Lagos State
Government, yesterday, finished the palliative mediation on Eko Bridge, on the
side of the Federal Government's endeavors to supplant the eight development
joints on the thruway.
The Commissioner for
Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, who declared this, expressed that
the palliative involved the cutting and expulsion of black-top, just as the
arrangement of a steel plate on the influenced portions of the scaffold,
forthcoming the appearance of the fortified elastic extension joints to be
introduced as a lasting cure.
Omotoso said: "The
palliative was started by the State Government to guarantee the wellbeing of
drivers and decrease gridlock. The mediation is the immediate obligation of the
Federal Ministry of Works yet Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu taught the Ministry
of Works and Infrastructure to take up the work right away.
"The normal occupant
would not like to know whose duty it is to impact the fixes. What is
significant is to complete the work and eliminate the gridlock.
"A lasting
arrangement, which will be set up soon, will dispense with the gridlock from
the Alaka stopping point. The necessary strengthened elastic extension joints,
which have been requested from the producers, will be introduced quickly they
