Customary rulers and nearby government authorities captured over murdering of troopers in Benue

Two authorities of Konshisha Local government territory and two conventional rulers have been captured regarding the slaughtering of 11 officers and a chief in Bonta town of Benue state.

Lead representative Samuel Ortom uncovered this on Monday April 19 and further expressed that their capture was important for the choice taken at the state's security board.

Giving out the names of those captured as Sam Kave, representative administrator, Konshisha LGA; Tersoo Mela, councilor addressing Mbatser/Mbaguza ward; Unaha Koko, the region head of Iwarnyam and Emmanuel Adegbenda, head of Bonta, Ortom said the four presumes had helpful data that could prompt the capture of the enemies of the officers.

Ortom who revealed that Benue state chief chamber will meet to talk about how to help the groups of the 12 military work force, added that nine AK-47 automatic weapons have so far been recuperated.

He said;

“The council commended the minister of defence and service chiefs for allowing the state government and its security council to wade into the matter and help recover the lost weapons instead of the military going to do so themselves.

“Since then, we have not slept. We did everything to ensure that we recover the arms and by the grace of God we are able to recover eight AK47 plus the one the army recovered themselves earlier making it nine.

“We also recovered the machine gun that the militia took from them too and all the recovered weapons have been handed over to the army already.”
